Nesting ecology for
mallee emu-wren
These small creatures, mallee emu-wrens weigh about four grams — roughly the same as a teaspoon of sugar, are endangered because the population was wiped out from South Australia during the 2014 bushfires
The main purpose of the enclosure is to reintroduce and to encourage the nesting and breeding ecology of mallee emu-wren. However, they have never been held in captivity before which makes it challenging to sastify their needs in recreating their habitats.
