DEAM FLUME

A hybrid of Meditation Centre and public bathhouse sits at Siteworks, the site of a former primary school, now made suitable for public use.

In keeping with an ideal of giving back to the community and a sense of civic duty, my project proposes a hybrid building comprising a meditation centre and public bathhouse.

 

In a time when mental health and mindfulness strategies are promoted as a part of a healthy society, Deamflum examines the traditional typologies of the Buddhist temples back in my birthplace of Burma and strives to reinvent them in a digestible and secular format.
